Mission Statement 

The mission of the Osawatomie Public Library is to promote a lifelong learning by providing the community access to a balanced collection of printed and electronic resources which will serve their educational and recreational needs.

Vision

  • That all patrons are offered quality library sevices.

  • That all patrons are offered activities and programs for enjoyment, economic opportunity, self-growth, and improvement of literacy.

  • That the library contributes to the economic life of the town, the vitality of it’s neighborhoods and the quality of life of it’s citizens.

  • That the library will provide a pleasing, comfortable, and safe environment for all patrons.

Check-out Rules

  1. First time users may check out 3 books

  2. Books are due in 2 weeks                         

  3. Videos/DVD’d are due in 7 days             

  4. Books may be renewed by phone            

  5. Children must be in 1st grade to receive
    their own library card                         

  6. Adults must have a photo ID and a         
    local reference to receive a library card

  7. Adults must have a photo ID and sign a 
    permission slip for children under 14 to
    receive a library card                            

 8.  You must be 18yrs old to check out       
videos/DVDs                                  

     

Internet Rules

  1. You must have an O.P.L. card
    to use the Internet                 

 2.  Children under the age of 14 
must have a permission slip
signed by their parents to   
use the internet   

Fees
Book Late Fee…………………….10 cents a day
  Video/DVD Late Fee……………………..$1 a day
      Copy Machine Copies……………..15cents a copy
         Internet Copies……………………25cents a copy
